Reopening a chat by ID

Libra.openChatById(chatId) opens an existing Libra chat in an attached SDK session. For main-app citation links, the product owns extracting libraChatId from the URL, attaching the SDK, and cleaning up the URL if needed:
Call openChatById() after Libra.attach(); it logs and does nothing when there is no active SDK session. The typical loop: a user working in the main Libra app cites one of your documents; the citation link lands on your product page with ?libraChatId=…; your page attaches the widget and reopens that conversation next to the document.

Handoffs into the main Libra app

Some actions open the main Libra workspace in a new tab rather than running inside the iframe: Continue in Libra, account settings and team management, “Connect your account” and “More about this source” links, and licence management for publisher modules. The baseUrl option (default https://app.libratech.ai) is where those links point, and is also the origin of the auth popup. In proxy mode baseUrl still serves this purpose even though API traffic goes through your BFF. When a user follows such a link and has to sign in or sign up first, they are returned to the page they asked for, and the research sources selected in the widget are carried over.
For integrations that must keep users inside the product, Libra can enable the sdk_only_access flag for your product: the Continue in Libra button is hidden and other redirects are blocked with a notice. Ask your Libra contact; this is configured per integration, not by the host page.

Session persistence

The last active chat is restored after page reloads and navigation in multi-page apps, and across detach() / attach() in single-page apps. Research-source selection is preserved when a chat is restored from history or after a host page reload.
